Our roots go deep to an Italian cheese making family on the Amalfi Coast of Italy in the early 1900’s.

We have brought Italian family values, ideas, and recipes back to make fine Italian cheeses.

The key ingredient to making fine Italian cheese is sourcing the highest quality milk and it only makes sense to join forces with the best dairy farmers in America. Family values, hard work, and dedication are present in every dairy farming family and by joining these two worlds, our American Dream has become a reality.

In Italian the word Sopra means: Above, Better, Up.

You cannot ask for a better description of our cheese products. Inside our cheesemaking facility you will find proud team members that work with dedication to their craft. In our short existence, the cheese making team has achieved many awards and ribbons for their cheese making accomplishments. Our Low Moisture Whole Milk Mozzarella Cheese received the Gold Medal at the 2020 World Championship Cheese Contest and our Ricotta Amalfi also won a gold medal at the Wisconsin Dairy Products Association’s 2021 Dairy Product Championship. We look to continue to live up to our name “Sopra” with more accomplishments.
